  • Proper Waxing / Tweezing Aftercare - FACE
Keep freshly waxed/tweezed area(s) clean! Just like an open cut, open follicles are susceptible to infection. Resist touching or scratching area(s). Freshly waxed/tweeze skin can have an itchy sensation and in some cases, create small welts immediately after hair removal. This is your body's natural immune response, and should subside within a few hours to one day post service. Pink, redness and tenderness should subside within 48 hours. Gently applying witch hazel can help keep area calm and clean! Avoid lotions, heavy perfumes, or heavy makeup on newly waxed/tweezed skin. Avoid sun exposure, tanning, excessive heat and exercise, or activities that produce excessive sweating. Avoid ocean, lake, hot tubs, and pool water. Shower with lukewarm water, skin will be sensitive to hot water.
  • Proper Waxing / Tweezing Aftercare - BODY
Shower/bathe with lukewarm water - skin will be sensitive to hot water. Use a clean towel to avoid transferring bacteria into open follicles. Start gently exfoliating the area TWO DAYS after your wax. Continue to gently exfoliate every other day. You may moisturize with an appropriate post-wax approved product the day after your service. WHY IS THIS SO IMPORTANT? Waxing weakens the hair growth; re-growth will be softer and unable to break through the outer layers of dead skin. Hair can become trapped and result in pain and/or ingrown hairs. Gently exfoliating and moisturizing with appropriate products can help avoid this and is a vital step for waxing post-care. If you notice hairs erupting a couple days after your service, don't be alarmed. Hair that shows up after a wax is either hair that was below the surface of the skin, or too short for wax to grab, or is hair that broke during your service. Broken hair is a result of dry skin, which in turn produces dry, brittle hair. FOR BEST RESULTS from waxing, keeping skin hydrated and body hair moisturized is essential to ensure hair is strong enough to be pulled out completely, from the root, without breaking. In either case, do not pluck or shave the hair - leave them for your esthetician to remove at your next service. With body waxing, the goal is to get all hair on the same growth cycle, which in turn will give you longer hair-free results! *If you experience red/irritated bumps or pimples 24 hours or more after your wax, this may be a natural occurrence for some, as everyone's skin reacts differently. Feel free to reach out to your esthetician if you are concerned, she can direct you in what they are as well as how to care for them.

  • Brow Lamination Aftercare
Avoid any moisture for 24 hours, including steam. Your esthetician has applied a special regenerating cream, this creates a temporary sheen, which will dissipate, please do not wipe it off or manipulate the direction of the brow hair, as it is still setting. Do not sleep on your freshly laminated brows as it can alter the direction and texture of your newly set hairs. After 24 hours, gently apply brow nutrition (Castor Oil) to the brows, twice a day. Each morning apply sweeping up and over toward temple or a "windshield wiper movement" to refresh the style and then apply again before bed to nourish and protect. Consistency is key! Making sure to nourish your laminated brows makes the style last longer and strengthens the hairs, keeping them soft and manageable.
